  • πŸ‘ Premium Material: 99.6% pure nickel strip is the material you want, the thick nickel strip here will never corrode and come loose after welded to a 18650 cell, lithium-ion batteries, and any other circuit systems. Nickel is magnetic at or near room temperature.
  • πŸ‘ The SSPN-0028 SHONAN pure nickel strips can be welded directly to lithium batteries. Besides, the nickel strips here can also be used for nickel electroplating, if you are hoping to achieve the bright, shiny appearance and give your projects a nice corrosion-resistant layer, the nickel strips SSPN-0028 from SHONAN.SYSTEMS is your best choice.
  • πŸ‘ Pure Nickel & Current: Choose the right standard of pure nickel strip for a specific battery pack based on the current that you would like to draw. Users can increase the current rating by increasing the series connections between each parallel group or by stacking more than one layer of pure nickel strips.
  • πŸ‘ Lithium-ion Battery Pack: Every e-bike or wireless electro-tool needs a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. These pure nickel strips can be used for spot welding battery cells directly.
  • πŸ‘ Quantity: This package comes a roll of 0.2x8 mm pure nickel strip with a length of 32 feet and a purity of 99.6 percent. We only offer pure nickel strip and test all of our strips to ensure that you are getting the high-quality pure nickel.

Product Description

To achieve elegant and reliable spots, please weld nickel strips with powerful spot welder, mini spot welder is not suggested.

Excellent Electrical Conductivity

The nickel strips here can be welded directly to 18650, NiCd, NiMH and any other rechargeable batteries.

Perfect for building or repairing an electric tool battery pack.

Soldering

Some users prefer to build lithium battery packs by soldering. To make the soldering point more reliable, please rough the battery ends with sandpaper first, clean the ends then, and apply soldering flux at last.

Resistant to Rusting and Corrosion

The pure nickel strips from us consist of 99.6% nickel or higher, rust will not happen and affect the life of lithium-ion battery pack, as well as the current conduction between the battery cells.

Nickel Electroplating

Nickel electroplating can provide your project with a nickel layer, to serves the dual purpose of providing a bright, attractive finish as well as improved corrosion resistance or durability.

What is the hardness of pure nickel strip?

The hardness of pure nickel is controllable in the annealed process. Pure nickel can be very hard or soft, so the hardness cannot be used to distinguish whether strips are pure or not. All the 0.15mm and 0.2mm pure nickel strips from us are softer than 0.1mm.

How to choose a suitable size of nickel strip for my battery pack?

To make the selected nickel strips work properly while avoiding waste, please check the "acceptable current" in the comparison chart below.

Users can increase the series connections between each parallel group or by stacking more than one layer of pure nickel strips to increase the current rating.

Basic attributes of the element nickel.

  • nickel is ferromagnetic
  • anti-rust
  • excellent conductivity
  • low resistance

1. How to distinguish between pure nickel and nickel-plated strips?

The main differences between pure nickel and nickel-plated steel are the ability of corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. Most users choose the first method, such as placing a scratched nickel sheet in a corrosive liquid. (The element nickel is ferromagnetic at or near room temperature, you can find this basic information on Wikipedia.)

2. For different batteries, the poles' materials would be different. Most of them are made of stainless steel, iron-plated nickel or iron. In terms of the degree of weldability, stainless steel > iron-plated nickel > iron, which means a 0.15 mm pure nickel sheet can be welded to a battery’s pole made of stainless steel easier than a pole made of iron.

3. Lithium-ion cells are made in various sizes, often assembled into packs for portable electrical tools. Most battery packs also include a BMS to prevent over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit damage. You also need to prepare a specific charger for your lithium-ion battery pack.

The nickel strips in the below comparison chart are ideal for medium or large size lithium battery packs. For detailed information, please check the comparison chart.
